Bitcoin can be compared to the internet when it first began. Government and Educational institutions began using the internet first. People were in awe that you could connect with someone on the other side of the world via a few clicks of a computer interface.

If you re-watch early news reels of the internet days, the media didn't even know how to talk about the internet, how to discuss it or even what questions to ask. How do you describe the amorphous internet? How do you understand the internet when you've only read a newspaper your whole life?

We find a similar paradigm shift in Bitcoin and how it changes the way we understand the world. The cryptographic and financial institutions have been discussing and exploring Bitcoin since its inception in 2008. The finance sector seems to have gotten a foothold in Bitcoin now, yet even the experts don't fully comprehend what it is or where it will lead to.

Bitcoin is still in its infancy and beginning to take shape. To those of you who want to understand Bitcoin better, we've compiled a list of some great resources to learn more about Bitcoin. Even for the Bitcoin maxi, it’s good to have a list of these 'classics' at hand.

To begin, one should read The Bitcoin Whitepaper by Satoshi Nakamoto. In fact, I insist you must read it at some point in your journey to better understand Bitcoin. It is only eight pages, yet in its simplicity, it proposes a protocol for digital currency that revolutionizes the way money works, energy is transferred and ultimately freedom can continue.

THE BITCOIN WHITEPAPER:

by Satoshi Nakamoto Published on October 31, 2008, this is the paper that first brought the idea of Bitcoin to the world, written and shared by Satoshi Nakamoto the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin who mysteriously went dark a few years after its launch. The paper is housed by the

Satoshi Nakamoto Institute where you can further access bitcoin history, knowledge and archives.
